South Korea's total car exports have risen for a fifth straight month in August,... despite weak demand overseas.<br />It's the first time that's happened in two years.<br />According to the trade ministry,… the value of South Korea's car exports last month was around 2-point-9 billion U.S. dollars, which is an increase of 4-point-6 percent from a year ago.<br />The number of units shipped, however, was down slightly.<br />Apparently, the value of the exports was boosted by more expensive models such as SUVs and electric vehicles becoming more popular in the United States and Europe.<br />
